My given name is Robert Hazlett, but most people call me “Bob.” I also respond to “Bobbyhaze,” “Bobby Digital,” and “Hey, Dad.”
I’ve been a professional marketer for more than 15 years now. My recent work has centered around marketing strategy, campaign development, demand generation, brand management, and digital marketing.
Throughout my career, I’ve been lucky enough to work with Fortune 500 companies, amazing non-profits, and world-class people. Truthfully, when the day is done, I want to make great work with people who make it their goal to continually get better at their craft.
My work has been featured in places like The New York Times and Mashable. I’ve won a handful of industry awards and been a finalist for a Webby Award. I’ve been named to the Top 40 Under 40, been the Rookie of the Year in my Skeeball league (yes, that’s a thing in Austin, TX), and have had the opportunity to work with incredible partners like Google, ESPN, BuzzFeed, Hulu, and The Second City. You can check out my resume here.
Right now, the top few things on my bucket list are to write and illustrate a children’s book, play the top 100 public golf courses, and help adult men forge deeper friendships.
I value life-long learning, hard work, discipline, and not taking yourself too seriously. I love sleeping with the windows up during a cool summer night, open-face hamburgers (made by my grandma below), and exploring new technology. My heroes are my grandma (for her grit, deep thirst for knowledge, and simple approach to life) and Shaq (for his ability to be a mixture of about 50 different people).
I grew up in the Midwest, and in the fourth grade, I got to be Judy Blume’s assistant for the day. It was pretty much the highlight of my childhood.
